The frame was purchased several years ago in a small music shop in San Jose, CA. The thread used is Lizbeth cotton tatting thread with beads added to the picots. I was inspired by the frame to create a piece of lace. After several years of dreaming up ideas, the design created by joining several squares together took shape. This pattern was created by Ulla Bendtsen as part of a workshop led by Iris Niebach in 2007. I added my own spin in the choice of colors and beads.
